In keeping with Hyundai's strive for safety the i20 comes with the following features as standard, 6 Airbag system including passenger, side and curtain airbags, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic vehicle stability management, front impact sensors that detect and instantly respond in the event of a collision.

Inspired Performance and efficiency

Across all the models, the engines have been further improved to provide better fuel efficiency and lower emissions’. The efficient diesel engines take you further with the 1.1 CRDI delivering an incredible 74.3 mpg – 3.8ltrs/100kms and producing only 99g/km CO2. The 1.4 CRDI with Intelligent Stop & Go also delivers remarkable fuel efficiency of 76.3 mpg - 3.7ltrs/100kms and only produces 96g/km CO2. While the 1.2 petrol option offers incredibly low CO2 emissions of 109g/km and amazing fuel efficiency of 60.1 mpg – 4.7 ltrs/100km with Hyundai’s intelligent Stop & Go system. (CO2 emissions based on i20 with ISF = 109g/km and 114g/km without ISG)

Engines

The all new i20 with ISG have one of the lowest emitting conventional diesel combustion engines in Ireland. This is achieved through using new technologies including intelligent Stop & Go that switches the engine off when coming to a complete stop and starts it again by depressing the clutch. The 1.2 engine is available in five door models only, in both Classic and Premium specifications. The 1.1 CDRi 75ps and 1.4 CRDi 90ps engine is available in Classic and premium specification with ISG as an option. All engines are available with a manual transmission and an automatic transmission is available on the 1.4 petrol Premium model.
